The Polk County Reading Council (PCRC) members have collected books for community children and their caregivers, since 2010.
PCRC works diligently throughout the year to keep Little Free Libraries in our Polk County communities stocked. Our members deliver new and gently used books to Little Free Libraries all over Polk County.

The Book Fairies will be a new literacy project for our organization during the 2021-2022 school year. Book Fairies is a global project for paying it forward through books. If you have books laying around that you have already read and would love to share with others, Book Fairies is a great way to pass those books along to others in an exciting way!
The PCRC will be accepting donations of infant board books to be included in the Infant Book Project. Board books and soft books are provided for inclusion in new mother diaper bags at local hospitals to promote early literacy for children through parent to child reading.
